Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that have been generated by digital simulation to gradually move the teeth into alignment. Invisalign patients wear their aligners all the time and remove them only to eat, brush and floss.

With a background in engineering combining the technologic advances, with knowledge as a specialist – an orthodontist – Dr. Patenaude takes advantage of his understanding of forces and biomechanics to maximize their potential. He also uses the iTero digital scanner, which provides a superior fit and eliminates the need for gooey impressions.

Invisalign, Spark, or even custom limited series aligners can be an excellent treatment modality for many teen and adult cases.  Among the many advantages to Invisalign compared to braces are easier oral hygiene and you can eat whatever you want.  Also, appointments are shorter and fewer are needed which translates to less time out of work or school. Additionally, comfort is king with aligners. Dr. Patenaude has treated with lingual braces, traditional braces, and aligners and the latter is superior for comfort. Newer aligner technology such as that found in Spark offer even more clarity than Invisalign for a world where selfies and photos are the norm.
